About Ginny: Ginny is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She is a graduate of the Somerset School of Massage Therapy in Wall, New Jersey.   • Swedish Massage - A relaxing, soothing massage using long effleurage strokes, kneading and palming to work the superficial or upper layer of tissue.
  • Deep Tissue Massage - Focusing on the deeper layers of muscle to release chronic patterns of tension using deep slow strokes, deep finger pressure, knuckles and elbow pressure. A therapeutic massage concentrating on specific contracted areas of need.
  • Neuromuscular - a.k.a. NMT or Trigger Point Therapy Concentrated finger pressure to painful areas releasing contracted muscle fibers and adhesions which can cause referral pain patterns.
  • Reflexology - For the feet, a massage based on a system of reflex points that correspond and stimulate specific areas of the body. This opens energy pathways facilitating optimal energy flow to repair, rehabilitate and allow the body to heal itself.
  • Prenatal Massage - Concentrating on the specific needs of the expectant mother (contraindications in the 1st trimester). Using side lying position to access lower back and hip discomforts.
  • Myofascial Release - Manipulative and balancing by releasing tension in the fascia (connective tissue) and the muscle. Long stretching gliding strokes are utilized to release muscle tension and elongate muscle fibers.
  • Sport Massage - Pre or post-event massage. Stretches and vigorous compressions to increase blood flow to needed areas or cool down stretches to return muscles to pre-event condition.
  • Muscle Release Techniques - Identify, pin, glide and stretch specific muscles to release contracted shortened areas of muscle fibers. This restores muscles to their healthy state.
